Hey Kenan, this is a discussion for Cover Flow in iTunes, and not intended to be jacked with dislike of other apps, especially not of other systems.  Besides which, while Cover Flow on the iPhone is different in iOS 7, it still exists; whereas it is completely removed from iTunes 11.

Hi KitShicker85I'm absolutly aware of this

any discussion/threat I've started here has been deleted by apple!

... this is my way to keep alive with this discussion !

Is that why the first link didn't go anywhere within the discussion boards?  Anyway, it wasn't apparent that your comment with a link elsewhere was related, that's why the reply.  THIS discussion is nearly a year old, and hopefully doesn't just disappear like yours.  The only way to really be sure your comments are at least received is through the feedback tool; so everyone keep at it, otherwise all our complaints go unheard!

... I've posted several times feedback at http://www.apple.com/feedback/ as lot's uf us has done. There is a new philosophy at apple which is really contradictionary to all the feedback we all together have given.

Working many years as global product manager in the wireless industry, knowing thinking processes in an globalized environment i'm doubting apple is capable to listen for the moment to us !

If you aren't heared in your environment, start a new environment. Group others oround you to get the needed attention!

I did, and am already signed in. Still I get this message. "It appears you're not allowed to view what you requested. You might contact your administrator if you think this is a mistake."

I've posted feedback a few times myself.  Just now I let them know that I would rather not be able to manage my iOS7 iPhone 5 because I am purposefully keeping my iTunes to 10.x because of my love for Cover Flow.

Should I really ever need to manage my phone, I will upgrade to iTunes 11, manage the phone, then downgrade to 10.x... something I really shouldn't have to do.  There is simply no reason for it to have been removed.

I have to support the "complaint" that coverflow has been removed.

I just updated my i-pod touch.....and now thewre is no coverflow.

This was the best and essential format for browsing CDs.

The fact that albums are sequenced by alphabetical order

rather than artist is very poor.

The small cover photo "spreadsheet" approach is almost useless on the small screen.

PLEASE, PLEASE BRING BACK COVERFLOW !

P.S. Can I go back to the "old" software?

    CMJ.

So you personally answered every suggestion sent to your organization with exactly what you werer doing to address the suggestion?

  • Kenan Level 1 Level 1 (0 points)

Hi Chris, do you expect an action by me?

I fear for the moment you can't do anythig. Why? iOS 7 is a new direction at apple moving towards flat design while CoverFlos is a 3D annimation. If main deciders at apple has taken the road to flatness do you think we will change their mindset by giving some feedback? I fear not.

So create a "dislike iTunes 11" group at facebook requesting for CoverFlow and ask as many people as possible to join. Is that a suggestion?

iOS 7 also features parallax and motion, both being 3D-rich experiences. That makes the loss of CoverFlow even more confusing. It seems as though Apple has sort of lost the plot here and it doesn't know which direction it should go (other than looking as much like Android as possible to try and stop losing sales in that direction).

The iOS software and the desktop software are still quite different, and this thread is really about iTunes on the desktop. It's also been mentioned here before that cover flow is still present in other parts of Mavericks, most notably in the finder, so Apple hasn't abandoned it. It's felt by many that losing it in iTunes 11 is due to designer laziness more than any new direction taken by Apple.

You could be right while I think there are diffrent forces at apple (iOS, Mavericks and iTunes Team) with diffrent approaches fighthing each other.

There is a clear iosification at Apple driven by the iOS Team. The fact that Mavericks still favors Steves design pattern proofs a internal ressitance against a flatt design and the iosification. While the iTunes Team is already infected of it.

If you look at iCloud you'll find lots of design breachs. While mail, contact, calender etc. is iosificated pages, numbers and keynote has the design pattern favored by Steve.

There is a power vacuum at Apple. While Steve was the power unifiying all those princes they are now trying to be the only silverback at Apple. That's the reason why Apple lost the plot.

Diffrent people with diffrent vision tryin now to overlay apple with their vision. The one who has the most  hunger for power seem to be Jonathan Ive (the iosificator) with good relations to Tim Cook (observed from the outer view). If the iosificator will fail with his vision Tim Cook will proably row back to the desing pattern favored by Steve (influecing also iOS Team) with the vague hope to recover CoverFlow.

The theory is that everything is interwoven. Nothing stands alone for itself. Just to answer what the common denominator between iOS and CoverFlow is.

... if my last article is understood about entaglement please follow me at the "iOS disliker" on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/1424501854439961/

submitting feedback and non-upgrading to iTunes11 etc. is one way

another one is to create noteworthy force

call it rebelion or the Apple (arabian) Spring or whatever you like ...

    but you can't ignore it!

  • suvanrox Level 1 Level 1 (0 points)

apple dosent allow you to downgrade and its so unfair because i didnt now what ios 7 was like and frankly i dont like ios 7

  • lawrence305 Level 1 Level 1 (0 points)

Yes, I agree with iOS 7.  I haven't played with it yet, so I might be wrong, however... it looks more like a Android clone than an apple product.  I wasn't blown away.  So no upgrade for me.  I have gotten off the apple upgrade marry-go-round.  Next move, away from Apple Im afraid.  I've left feedback, ect, ect.  Apple is under new managment... apparently Microsoft!   (Which is what the new iTunes looks like to me btw...   :-(     )
