Hi! 11 is interesting, but I can't seem to find any way to put the artists into grid view. That's how I've always preferred my music, scrolling through the list of artists on the side is a little annoying as it's a pretty long list. If the ARTIST screen could be done the same way the ALBUM screen is, it would be pretty awesome. Am I just missing something, or is that not possible?
I'm having the same problem. It was nice to find artists with a quick look. I had the revolver artwork set to my beatles folder, viva hate set to morrissey ...ect, ect. Now I GET to read. This is kinda self defeating given that Airplay is all the rage. Let me get this right, apple wants us to read at a distance when using airplay instead of using album artwork as a reference point?! Hope they fix this soon.
I hate how it is now, espeically having as many artists as I have. I loved the grid view, and I dislike how the track numbers now go left to right.

I would love for the Grid View to come back... It's much better with it. I might have to try to downgrade to 10 again.
Agreed. If you have a large music collection, the new viewing options are completely inconvienent. I hope that they remedy this...i really hate the new set up. marc
Agreed. Prefer the grid view for artists. Grid view works by album but not by artist. Have to scroll forever to get to the back half of the collection. Boooo. Also dislike the 1-5, 6-10 track layout in side by side columns. Hope they change this.

Just upgraded to 11, then immediately registered on these support communities to voice my EXTREME DISPLEASURE at the new sorting options. Absolutely ridiculous. Why take such a huge step backwards Apple?? Been using iTunes happily for YEARS, until today. ARTIST GRID VIEW IS NECESSARY. Please do us all a favor and remedy this immediately...

but... theyve kept the sidebar, thank god.... and it has colour? excellent, very happy about that, considering im still on snow leopard, becasue mission control is gash tripe.

Ok. This itunes 11 is a piece of crap. Where on earth is grid view? My library is now a mess and looks horrible. What the heck have they done to remove some basic functions and **** folk off.
I would like to add to this. I also use the Grid View and can't seem to find it.Having Album view is ok. But I don't need to different versions of Album View.
Who knows. Maybe Apple will come back to us and say we are holding iTunes wrong.
One more in agreement. This feels like a sort of prank release. You would be hard-pressed to design a less attractive layout, especially coming off the useful simplicity of the resizable grid view for artists. There is nothing good about this new, uncustomizable layout. The album grid view is kind of cute when you select an album; if that same sort of concept was applied to the artist view, then this would have been a nice upgrade. As it is, I'm gonna have to look to reverting back to 10.
I'm in agreement too. iTunes 11 is a step backwards. Why are they removing features?! Bring the view options back. Everything doesn't need to be tiles.
Why did they take away all the options on how to view things. They might as well just put to album taps on the top because thats what it is. Think I'll be using my zune until this gets fixed.
My problem is the removal of the Grid view for Artists, that was perfect before and they took it out and replaced it with garbage. I have over 3000 songs and it takes forever to scroll threw them all. I hate this change it back
Agreed. Hate the new view, miss my old Artist Grid view. Come on Apple - sort it.

Honestly I did not like the itune software so much before but I could handle it... I liked the way windows displays by folder and then you are free to put whatever in your folder, drag and drop in the player to create a one time playlist.
Now I don't even see the point of using itunes except to manage my apple mobile device... How could they make such a mistake???
Like the ibook apps. Wood background as if it was my grandmothers' shelf??? Seriously? Is Apple so low in creativity to have to create mimicks of existing things????
More and more disappointed by the brand...
Not to mention their lotery system for their new products... Imagine you have to hope/beg that they serve you. This word is a bit up side down...
Sorry for this never ending message but it states many current issues I think Apple is getting into.
