Its still there. You need to turn on the "File, Edit, View, Controls, Store, Help" Menu bar. you can select it from the icon waaaaaaayyyyy up in the top left of the Itunes player. You will find the folder option under "file" where it used to be.
Any ideas how to do this on a Mac?
I've sorted my Windows 7 laptop and can't replicate it on my Mac?????
Thanks
Much the same but using CMD instead of CTRL I think... Don't have a Mac to hand for testing. Edit > Preferences > ... becomes iTunes > Preferences > ...

Hi
Tried CMD B and it does nothing??
Hmm, I recall playing with the Mac version the other day. I think you may have to come out of full screen mode in order to see the menus.

Also you can drag and drop the folder 😉
I must have wasted an hour trying to figure out how to transfer purchases. Why - when it says before updating your phone you should transfer your purchases - does it not give you a buitton at that point to do so? Apple you are sometimes so DUMB!
unbelievable...haven't seen such unfriendly software for a very long time...I'm done with Apple.
Hi, I am so frustrated with Apple I feel like taking a hammer to my iphone (I'm serious), and never, ever buying Apple products again.
Not only did they make it almost imposible to add the folder like with the old itunes, now, even that I figures out how to add the folder, it adds the folder with the songs out of the folder. therefore, every folder I add is mixed up with the songs in other folders. I don't want this. I want to add an individual folder with it's songs and no other songs messed in there. Can someone please tell me how to do that before I go to the basement and get the hammer. I have had it with Apple's controls. It's unbelievable how much you spend on their products and you don't have control of your brand new product. "they do", its unfriggin believable. I can see now why so many people are going with samsung phones. Bad business Apple, very bad!!
Thank you for your help Mrmackavelli. I got the menu back and can put folders of songs in my library. Problem is when I sync them to my phone, they go all over the place and are mixed in with other songs. Then, I have to create a playlist. I never had to do this before. I just added the folders with their music and they were my playlist. Wish Apple would think about who's using the iphones andn ot themselves. I now have a Samsung Galaxy phone which is so much more personal to use, I only use the iphone now as a Walkman. Thank goodness, because I don't like the way Apple is going.
Thanks Again. My solution now is to make playlists which takes a long time. It's frustrating...

You mus "re-add" the menu option by clicking on the "box" in the upper left hand corner of iTunes.
Or use ctrl B as noted by turingtest2 back in March (at the top of this page).
What if I want to add a new folder in Movies - I'd love to have another onein addition to Movies and TV Shows - maybe for Home movies, or music videos. Any thoughts

Music videos are displayed in Music. You can make an additional smart playlist if you want.
iTunes 11 has a Home Movies section within Movies.
