I am sick of the black background on iTunes and find that it remains the same on the latest version just released. Is it possible to change the look?

black background on itunes? sorry i never seen any black on itunes.. maybe i am just thinking of something else.. what part of itunes has black background?
If I simply show the list view of all my songs, the background is black and the words are all in white. In fact it is black when displaying in genres, artists, albums or playlists. When in album mode, I can see the album artwork but the list of tunes for each one cannot be seen as they are a dark grey colour against a black background. It has been this way for years and I am thoroughly sick and tired of it. When I downloaded the absolute new version just a short time ago, I thought it may change or offer an option, but NO, still the same!! This is on my iMac.
sorry i am bit lost, i never in my life on any promo or any computer saw black background on itunes. I've seen hundredes itunes on different computers (setting them up for friends and family over the years) here is image of itunes 11 i just took.. list view of playlist.. I am still not seeing black.. take a Screenshot and post it..
Thanks Darko. Now, sorry to be so 'thick' but I have no idea how to 'take a screenshot'. Please teach me that and I'll try to post a picture of this horrible black screen.
no problem i am actually very curious to see what you are dealing with.. i have something in mind but i don't want to jump to conclusions..
press command+shift+3 on the keyboard.. a image will pop up on your desktop. then when you come here to post a message you will see little camera icon to upload the image.. upload it and done
Shif+Command+3 will take a snapshot of your screen a save it on your desktop...

open your terminal app.. find it in utilities folder in apps..
type in this command. word for word
defaults write com.apple.iTunes high-contrast-mode-enable -bool FALSE
Here's another one using my new found skill guys. As you will see, you can't read the names of the tunes!!!
you can also copy the line i wrote and paste it into terminal via comand+V
also make sure you reboot itumes after you do it.. it wont do it on the fly if itunes is running
You bloody beauty!!! (that is a very friendly positive affirmation in NZ!!). I have been putting up with that crap screen look for several years and you fixed it for me in a few minutes. How the **** it ever got that way in the first place beats me!! It certainly was not anything that I did as I am scared stiff of altering anything technical and have never used 'terminal' before in my life (I'm 67 years old). Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I use an iMac. How do I change the background colour of iTunes to a different colour as I can't read some of the script and hate the look!!
