I have processor 2 x 3 Ghz Quad- core Intel Xeon with 8 gb 667 MHz DDR2 Fb-dimm running version 10.6.8 I just recently purchased as a OS Snow leopard so I can upgrade to Mountain Lion.disk.
The App Store does not allow me to upgrade to Mountain lion . " Mountain Lion is not compatible with your computor".

If you have a Mac Pro 2,1 the highest that can go is 10.7 Lion.
For the Mac Pro, MLion requires early 2008 or newer as per the specs given below.
Thank you. So how do I upgrade to 10.7 as most of the new hardware wants at least 10.7?

They'll give you a download code which you can use in the App Store.
