What are your thoughts on the New iTunes 11?

Spend thousands of dollars to look at Dylan album covers? Yeah, I can see that. Steve would approve.

The %-L locate currently playing song doesn't highlight the track entry in list mode as it used to. Minor but still a step back UI-wise.

i Dont think its ****. Yeah i miss cover flow already but see so they are trying to make it diferent like BSJ(Before Steve Jobs). one good thing in the new itunes is that its more responsible than previouse generations, but OK CoverFlow is a very negative aspect. But OK not that bad but not so Good.

What brings the old itunes feeling is to get the old sidebar back by pressing

I have no problem with valid complaints. And it seems there are a few, as could be expected. But "catastrophe"? "Disaster"?

No coverflow has me looking for a third-party app to do the job. iTunes 11 Songs view is just a big spreadsheet now. Terrible design decision to remove it, but Apple isn't what it used to be, apparently.

Can you give me one reason there can't be a button to restore coverflow? There's plenty or real estate in the app for it, and it was already developed and functional...

That case was reversed, in Apple's favor, a year ago.

I think you have just given the solution to my biggest problem with the new iTunes.

CMD-OPT-S - that's what I needed! That and click the "songs" and I can see all my music now.

Drastic change, and now a learning curve. This actulaly looks like a cheezy player skin under Windows... A definite step in the wrong direction from a UI point of view.

Yes catastrophic. I have been getting a tv show that I like and am up to season 6. I imported season 7 a few minutes ago and it not only didn't import it but it deleted it from my hard drive. They really f'd this itunes up.
