Q: What are your thoughts on the New iTunes 11?

absolutly useless; reverted to previous version.

if you take away features, is it still fair to consider it an upgrade?

I suggest we go elsewhere to buy music until iTunes starts treating us like customers again.

Generally, yes. Ithis particular case, of course, not.

It is like - if you have an incredibly messy room (iTunes 10), with all useful and useless things scattered around, you still can find what you need, and if you are continuously living there, you can be just fine.

But then, your wife (Apple) decides - mess is not acceptable. And throws out everything which seems useless to her, and you get iTunes 11.

So now, good order and clean room is good or not? Try to complain...?

... another simple and practical way to set or change songs genre was to go to the "genre view" of your library so like that you could easily modify or adjust the genre of several songs at the time, with this new version this ability has gone too....

I keep on wondering what was the purpose of the team that develop this when they decided to remove all those great and simple features? And also if anyone in that team has ever been using iTunes before?.......

In my opionion is just a huge step back.

What is most important is that the most of the cancelled features and especially the Coverflow were iconic for APPLE and ITUNES. Ther ewere the ones that were differentiated iTunes from others and influenced the other players oto follow.

Today I will downgrade to 10.7. For sure immediately the fetures will not be back but if Apple choose to follow this way I will just use anoter software for my media files restricting iTunes only for those jobs that have no other solution.

I hate iTunes 11. It is much more confusing and library sharing is very screwed up! When I click on the other computer, I see all media. When I click on "Music"... it only shows the genre of whatever that computer is currently playing. This *****!!!!

I haven't been able to get it to get it to work on my computer since I downloaded it. It ***** I want the old version back!

It's a major step back for Apple. I've been using iTunes for ages now and this new iTunes is probably the biggest disappointment I've ever experienced in my mac life.

This is the most unwieldly piece of junk Apple have produced. Why mess with something that wasn't broken?

I have 26 devices syncing to my itunes, now it is completely unmanagable.

I updated just to restore an ipad that is broken, i am certain when I call apple support they will want me to upgrade, but as soon as I am done I am finding the old version online.

The "search library" just tells it all!!!

I synced on iTunes 11 with my iPad 3 and downgraded. If by luck I don't know, but after the downgrade I( have had no problems syncing again back on 10.7.

Cover flow was goofy. If you want that, go to an old fashioned diner with jukeboxes at the table.

I'm not sure how to word it correctly, but "search entire library" is different than the older way to search all fields. I believe that it searches podcasts, movies, books, etc., in addition to your music library. If you uncheck the box and do not check a single field underneath that, it still searches your music library, and it goes a lot faster.

Shocking, looks like the boss's brothers next door neighbour has created this and his mum and aunt have given their input. Does anyone know if you can change the font, too afraid to go into it again.
