Dec 11, 2012 2:10 PM in response to Steven Doddsby SilvaLazarus,Great...
That makes the album art disappear completely! Fantastic...
How can iTunes 11 be so bad...

Dec 11, 2012 2:20 PM in response to SilvaLazarusby Steven Dodds,I'm at work right now, so I can't dig into settings, but I'm sure that it did NOT hide my album artwork when I tried it.
I would like them to add the option to not use edge blending to try and merge the artwork into the background, if you choose the colors view.

Dec 11, 2012 3:51 PM in response to Porfby Canes042170,Downloaded it, worked for four days, then it stopped working period. would not sync, would lock up every other time I started it up. I finally said forget it, uninstalled it and then put 10.7 back.
If I start to see people saying it is working bug free, I will try later.

Dec 11, 2012 5:01 PM in response to SilvaLazarusby ransims,Referring to your comment, I use iTunes all the time and have done so for many years. Clearly, Apple has gotten rid of the useless features that you are referring to. I mean really, needing all of those features just to find music you should already be aware of on your computer. Next, you'll be saying that it doesn't burp you after you eat...

Dec 11, 2012 5:09 PM in response to Porfby MK Coolum Beach,Below is the response I recieved from Apple after posting on 1st Dec. In order to selectively remove my post from this community feed someone in Apple must've read my post & chosen to remove it. I subsequently sent them feedback saying much the same as is the trend on this feed.
In other words, someone @ Apple reads/scans this.
Let's trust they're getting the picture, otherwise their stats may slide big time.
... Hello testing???

Dec 11, 2012 5:15 PM in response to Porfby Reb4Life,I can't stand. I hate you can't have multiple windows. I used to manage my music library and search the store at the same time I have to choose. But apple has been pretty discouraging on the whole lately. I have bought macs, macbook pros, iphones, ipads, and apple tv's since pretty much they all came out respectively but I might be ending that run pretty soon. Why pay the extra money when there is virtually no difference between it and pcs. Mac is taking major steps back on the whole. That's just my opinion though.

Dec 11, 2012 5:46 PM in response to Vdueby Colin Mansfield,I would also like to point out that importing CDs takes MUCH longer with this version of iTunes. I just imported a dozen CDs from my collection and sat watching them import at an average of 4x speed. This is on my Mac Pro 1,1 2x Core duo. My G5 could manage import speeds in excess of 20x speed.
Perhaps Apple could offer a return to the "Classic" GUI, as they do with Mail? Maybe without so much graphic overhead it will allow the superdrive to work at its potential.

Dec 11, 2012 5:49 PM in response to Porfby dportis47,I wish there was a way to display the new song that is playing???
-
Dec 11, 2012 7:20 PM in response to dportis47by mwheelerk,I am not sure this is what you are looking for but once a song has begun playing in the top window of iTunes there is a thumbnail of the artwork. Double click on the thumbnail then right click on the result and you will have N option to expand the view. It has an overlay feature that can remain active that displays the song title play/pause, forward/reverse and elapsed time. If you close the main iTunes window this will remain open and change songs as they change or artwork if you are using playlists or shuffle mode from playlists.

It comes down to Most people don't like change, if it makes them have to re-learn or think.
I rather like the new stuff in 11. It's a nice upgrade and move toward the future.
It is not a matter of change or having to re-learn anything.
The big thing is that this "upgrade" is seriously flawed in
much of the basic functionallity that it is supposed to (should)
have! There are way to many true "bugs", not feature removal
or badly implemented new features, that plague this release.

Dec 12, 2012 4:22 AM in response to Porfby Xpressanny,I don't like the new ITunes. It's so confusing. I used to be able to move easily from my overall music list to my playlists but everything has changed and it get's very confusing now. Driving me up the wall.
Also I want to be able to burn to my external pen drive as it can hold more than the CD disk. The CD disks are more often than not full of gremlins it would seem. Do you think you can do that with this new system? Well I can't. I could with the previous system of course!!!
Aargggg!!!

Also, without play counting there is no fast way of jumping to brand new songs and albuns added to the library. Since I have upgraded to itunes 11, all the songs I have listened to so far have remained as they where, including "0" plays of songs I have listened to several times.
Sort by "Date Added."

Dec 12, 2012 7:02 AM in response to Porfby kphhim,I just hate it. I downloaded two purchases and somehow iTunes has buried it somewhre in my Mac where I can't synch the two purchases with my iPod. I hope millions of us post messages so that the iTunes IT workers get angry feedback.

Dec 12, 2012 1:25 PM in response to Porfby Doeringer,This is the worst iTunes ever. I spend most of my time trying to do what once was very easy. I think Microsoft has taken over Apple. This is the kind of useless confusing programs they put out. Someone did not consult the users like Steve Jobs would have done.
