MiniPlayer won't show track info?
iTunes 11 is nice but I find a problem with MiniPlayer here.
Is it just me or everyone has the same issue?đ

Most annoying that the volume hotkeys don't work!!! You'd think that would be a basic test, wouldn't you!!!!!
Calm down... Just try to use the MiniPlayer less...đ
I posted the following on another thread and then saw this post.
The miniplayer is not updating tracks on streaming radio stations since upgrading to iTunes 11. It updates fine from tracks in my iTunes. The radio stations (such as Radio Paradise) have a scrolling banner in full screen mode and update properly but the miniplayer display is static and stays on the song that was playing when it was started. My 'all controls' function is (and was) turned off. Tabbing does nothing but flash between the control buttons and the track, the same as rolling the curser over it. The previous version of iTunes worked great and scrolled in the miniplayer as it did in the full screen.

OSX 10.6.8
I'm not clear what the focus point means.
Additionally, I cannot shortcut <shift-command-M> to switch to miniplayer but <command-M> does minimize full screen. The <command-up/down> also works fine controlling volume in miniplayer.
Although the volume hotkeys are command-up, command-down on my mac, I don't like it. I have to click on the miniplayer to make it active before I can use the hotkeys. The old version had a volume control right on it so you could just click and drag. I like to have the miniplayer always on top so I can glance and see who the artist is on a radio station and easily adjust volume if needed. Doesn't work anymore.
So actually the MiniPlayer has some problems...

Any PC user has the same problem???
Agreed - mini player is just a "dumb" view now on my PC - no track info, not volume control - only use is to bring up main screen and use that, which makes it pretty pointless...
Yep. No track info, only blank. đ
I can get the miniplayer to show track info when I highlight search then go to full screen and back to miniplayer but it lasts only one song, then it is back to not showing again.
Also, playback is choppy since upgrading
I can't even let it show once...đ Your way didn't work for me.
Hello! I found the solution!!!
Change the locale and the iTunes language both to English and it is SOLVED!đ
But I terribly need my locale as Japanese for some applications.
Otherwise they will go terribly wrong......
Oh come on Apple bring us an update ASAP!!
Luckily for me, locale as English doesn't affect me much!
Totally agree.
Command Up and Down arrow control volume now. Command Right and Left Arrows (or just Right and Left Arrows) will advance or reverse to next / last track.
