contacts with multiple phone numbers sync only one number

The problem with outlook or any windows based address book is that it only recognises first contact when synced from other phones like P1i. Hence, when moving from old phone is not that smooth. Is there a way to sync all contacts at once with multiple data into outlook and than too iphone?
