Even after installing Aperture 3.4.3 and after deleting Aperture preference file, I am asked to reenter Aperture serial numbers (Aperture upgrade 3 and original Aperture 1 serial numbers) on every first launch of Aperture 3.4.3 after boot of my iMac with Mountain Lion (Mac OS X 10.8.2).
Anyone else having the same problem? Any workaround you can suggest?

Have you attempted to delete your ProAppsSystemID file from /Library/Application Support/ProApps? Quit Aperture, then navigate through to find the file and move it to the trash, you'll have to open up your main hard drive to access the Library folder.
After you've removed the file, reopen Aperture and re-register it again. If it still doesn't work, you may need to delete Aperture again and reinstall from scratch.

I had already checked for ProAppSystemID. I have now reinstalled Aperture and first impression is positive: until now (3 reboots) it works. Thank you for your help.
I'm afraid I don't know where to find this file? I have done a search in finder for proapps and nothing comes up. Is this within an Aperture directory? How can I find this?

Susan, the ProAppsSystemID file is in your System Library: /Library/Application Support/ProApps
If you find ProAppsSystemID there, remove it.

Thank you. I just migrated from an iMac to a Mac pro and the HD was missing in the finder. Only the second (empty) HD was there. I had to go to preferences and then add the computer box for it to show the two HD's and find the library. Thank you very much for your help!
