802.11n enabler software No longer in the store?

I recently discovered that i did not have wireless N on my Macbook pro 2, 2 (2.16 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo running 10.4.11). I then discovered that I had to purchase a piece of software known as 802.11n enabler software for $1.99 through the mac store. I went to do this today and discovered a pop up that stated the product is no longer available. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a way besides buying the base station to upgrade my macbook pro to wireless n?

sig thanks for that but i have already looked there and that is not the issue in my case. Unfortunately a late 2006 macbook pro with an intel core 2 duo that does not have the wireless n. When I checked the network utility it states (802.11 a/b/g). I know that the airport extreme i have in this mac can support wireless n but I cannot find the software to upgrade it to wireless n.

From the site you posted sig "AirPort Extreme (although the Core 2 Duo models support 802.11n as well as 802.11g after a firmware update)" The problem is I cant get the firmware update also know as 802.11n enabler software.

Shootist I currently have no problem accessing wireless g from my router but I was hopeing to get a faster more consistant signal from the wireless n that my router has. I hope when I get upgraded to snow leopard it fixes the wireless n issue. unfortunately before i can upgrade to snow leopard I need to get an external dvd drive (superdrive broke many years ago) and a ram upgrade (currently running 1 gb going to upgrade to 2x2gb)

It seems Sig is incorrect except that the WiFi card does do N but you need either that enabler or a newer OS X version. Your Mac with the original OS X version does not support the N band.

You can Find the enabler other places then the App Store, Google is your friend. Or you can upgrade the OS to a newer release.
