Hi I have an iMac and run windows 7 via bootcamp.

Its worked fine for months but now I have a problem getting an internet connection with it. Just to clarify I have no problems connecting with my mac or any other devies in my house.

I have downloaded and installed the bootcamp updates but this has made no difference.

Any advice or assistance would be gratefully appreciated.

Many thanks

Nick

I used Clear 4G stick modem on a MacBookPro with Boot Camp & Windows 7.

Had to download and install 2 drivers, one for MAC and correct OSX for the MAC partition, and one for PC Windows 7 for the Windows partition. Think 2 machines.

    A bit clunky but worked.

PS So far no Clear drivers for latest OSX!, only upto 10.7

That's because there are 2 machines, no surprise there.

Did you download the drivers in Boot Camp and then install them in Windows?

What on earth does that mean? no Download, no install

Doesn't matter, go back to Boot Camp and download them.

    Just to clarify

    1. Internet connection used to work with windows 7

    2. Now it doesn't.

    3. Downloaded bootcamp updates for windows 7.

    4. Installed bootcamp updates for windows 7.

    5. Internet connection still doesn't work.

    6. That's it...

So it's a Windows problem, post in Microcosfts forums.

In the right side of Windows Taskbar to the left of the speaker icon is an internet connection icon.

Have you tried icon rightclick->Troubleshoot Problems on it?

There is also Network and.. where you can check adapter settings etc.

    Hi thanks.

Yes, have tried troubleshoot also but still no joy...

It can see the wireless network and says I'm connected to it but thats as far as it goes.

I have finally solved the problem. It was caused by having McAfee installed as the windows antivirus software. The McAfee firewall was blocking the internet connection.
