Nov 30, 2012 6:13 AM in response to maechuby léonie,Every attempt to view the final result has resulted in a program crash.
Maybe the crashlog will give us a clue. This looks like one of your original image files may be corrupted.
Please post the first 50-60 lines of the crash log.
Unfortunately my order will not go through. I get as far as confirming the delivery and invoice addresses only to be told to try again later!
What can be the cause of these problems.
Have you looked at the Print services page for your country? Print Services Support - Apple Store
There are several common reasons for not being able to place a print order:
- The Store may be really busy and cannot take your order : Try again later
- The error message is the wrong error message and your order cannot be transmitted, because one of your images is corrupted or cannot be transmitted. Try to create a pdf from your images and print them yourself. Can your images be printed at all? If not, print different versions of your images.
- Your Anti virus software or firewall may be interfering. Disable them, if you are using "Little Snitch" or something else. And is your network working o.k.?
- Check your account settings at My Apple ID: You can go there from the link "manage account" at the bottom of the order window, when you try to place your order using the "buy book". Check your billing address, shipping and your country settings. The country must be set to the country you are currently in. The billing address must be valid, check the zip code. Check your payment information and credit card.
- And check the security information: Your password must conform to security standards (at least one capital letter and one numerical letter) and your security questions must be set and have answers at least six characters long. You may need to reset your password and security questions.

I've noticed the question marks in line 37. Is that where the problem lies?

Dec 2, 2012 1:45 AM in response to maechuby léonie,This looks, like you may have imported a corrupted image or video:
Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS)
Exception Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x0000000000000004
And probably this images is part of the images you included in your book.
Make sure you have a current backup of your Aperture library, before you proceed with any trouble shooting. Working wth a corrupted library may corrupt it further and beyond repair.
After you have ensured that you have a backup, repair and rebuild the library. Continuous crashes may leave the library in an inconsistent state. Use the Library First Aid Tools to fix the library before proceeding: Aperture 3 User Manual: Repairing and Rebuilding Your Aperture Library
But first of all: I notice your System Version and Aperture version: 3.0 (3.0), Mac OS X (10.5.8)
Why have you never upgraded? There have been important bug-fixes since the first Aperture 3 release. On your system you should be able to run Aperture 3.1.2, an important update for more stability and new features, that brings reliability when brushing, reconnecting referenced masters, importing iPhoto libraries. Perhaps downloading and installing from here (Aperture 3.1.2) and installing the upgrade will already solve the crashing.
To find out, if the crashes are caused by something in your library or are system wide, make a few tests:
- create a new, empty Aperture library and import some test images, create a book. Can you preview this book without crashing?
- If yes, export the original image files from your main Aperture library, that you used to create the book and import them into your new, empty library. Place them into your test book (in small installments) and try to preview the book. Can you find the one, that makes Aperture crash?
- If no -and Aperture will not even work from an empty library and on new images, try the same from a different user account. If you log in as a different user, can you create and preview a book without crashes?
- If yes, then some preferences and presets in your own accout are faulty, see the section on removing preferences and presets in this trouble shooting guide: Aperture 3: Troubleshooting Basics
- if no, then you are having system wide trouble. Then reinstall Aperture from your original installation media and upgrade. If that does not fix it, post the full crash log (including the "Crashed Thread").
