Q: I have an error message saying that the itunes library itl cannot be read as a newer version of Itunes has been installed. How can i open ITunes then?

I have an error message saying that the itunes library itl cannot be read as a newer version of Itunes has been installed. How then can I open ITunes?

iPod nano (6th generation), Windows Vista

    Did you install an old version of iTunes over the newer version ???

     

    The original iTunes library (for the older version) is in My Documents\My Music\iTunes\Previous iTunes Libraries with a name like iTunes Library 2012-??-??.itl

    No. I uninstalled an old version (because I had an error message saying it was not installed correctly) and reinstalled the latest version. Now I can't open the newest version because of the error message.
