I upgraded to iTunes 11 and now iTunes match simply refuses to work.


It just loads on Step 1 'Sending Information To Apple'.


I've left it for hours and it never loads.


Ideas anyone?

    I experience the same issue after update to itunes 11. I have done all I can including deauthoring macbook, sign-out and sign-in, and problem still persists.

    I'm wondering if the reason is that there are simply so many match requests that Apple's network is not able to readily meet the demand. One reason I believe this may be the case is that I've never subscribed to iTunes Match, yet when i upgraded to 11, I also observed the "Sending Information To Apple" message for what seemed to me to be a long time. Having never subscribed to iTunes Match, I clicked the "X" to stop the process, and now I'm left with lots of songs that have been assigned the iCloud "Waiting" status, which I can't find a way to change without taking the initial action of subscribing to iTunes Match. So the question I will probably post as a new discussion might be something like, "Is there a way to resume a canceled automatic match process to resolve the "Waiting" iCloud status designation after an iTunes 11 upgrade without subscribing to iTunes Match?"


    To summarize, I think it's likely that demand for matching is too great to be handled quickly through available network server resources, and that's at least partly due to the fact that every connected user with an iTunes library is undergoing the match process upon upgrading to iTunes 11, not only those for which an iTunes Match subscription was already active.

    I'm having the same issues and my guess is that IIee is right: namely, that the Apple matching servers are overloaded with the release of iTunes 11.

    I don't think so. I'm not trying to do any matching. I'm just trying to "connect" my fresh empty (0 songs literally) itunes library to my match account. I did the same on my iPad (turned match off, rebooted the iPad and then turned match back on). On my iPad it took just 2-3 minutes to load all my songs metadata back to itunes library.

    Guys I just got this working but I have no idea what actually fixed it as I tried so many things.

    Here is some recent stuff I did that may have contributed to it working:


    Deleted "SC Info" folder in users/shared - It's hidden by default so I had to do it via terminal commands.


    ALSO I updated Genius in iTunes by clicking 'Store' > 'Update Genius'.


    I don't know which one fixed but it's working fine now. Make sure BEFORE trying this stuff you Turn off iTunes match and then afterward restart your computer and turn iTunes match back on.


    EDIT: Aaaaannnd it broke again. I honestly give up.

    Good news here:  Match finally worked and my music is all there.  I didn't do anything special.  It just took a very long time.

    Looks like it was possibly coincidence that it started working again after I did that stuff then.

    I still think it's a transitory issue.


    Anyway, as a non-subscriber to Match, all I had to do to fix my problem was to uncheck things in the Store Preferences.


    And to be entirely impertinent, if you buy Saint-Saëns' Romance for Violin and Orchestra Op. 48, you still get Debussy's Ballet, the final movement from the Petite Suite, instead.

    My issue is Itunes Match uploads fine. But, I can't tell if anything has been matched or uploaded like it used to. Other than that, Itunes 11 is working pretty well. Can anyone tell if there music has been matched or not?
