MIDI timeout, but no MIDI drivers installed. What's going on?

I am trying to beatmap using scene markers and it just isn't doing anything. If I try to do anything with a midi track logic comes up with this error:

Logic Pro has detected a MIDI timeout. Please restart your computer, then relaunch Logic Pro.

If the problem persists, update the drivers of all connected MIDI devices (including audio drivers with MIDI functionality) to the latest version. For instructions on removing older drivers, consult the manufacturers' documentation.

Every other forumn I've looked at says to delete anything in /Library/Audio/Midi Drivers and the same in the user folder, but there isn't anything there. I've just done a clean install of mountain lion, so there are no outside midi drivers. Are there native drivers that need reinstalling?

Is there something else I can try?

I am not using any other devices. This is all I'm using:

Macbook Pro

Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

Logic Pro (9.1.8)

Thanks 🙂

MacBook Pro (13-inch Early 2011), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2), Logic Pro 91.8
