Deleting apps on itunes 11 not deleting them when syncing with Iphone 4s!

Before I updated to Itunes 11 I used to delete unwanted apps on Itunes and then when sysncing through PC running windows 7, apps used to be deleted on iphone. After updating to Itunes 11 this is not being done. You can sync purchased apps from Itunes to Iphone and also from Iphone to Itunes both directions, but when deleting both directions won't work, therefore in order to delete the app I have to delete apps both on Iphone and Itunes!

Same issue here.

What about manual deletion? I'm afraid to try it because it might somehow bust future syncs. Anyone with this problem braver than me?

At best that would be a lame workaround though.

I'm guessing this, apps not deleting, problem cannot be happeining to everyone. I doubt Apple would ship with such a glaring bug.

I am having the same problem. I am using iTunes 11 with an iPhone 4S and iPad 2. Both are using iOS 6.0.1. Neither will remove apps. If I plug the devices into my PC using the USB port and click to sync, I get prompted to remove the apps or sync them. I always select remove, but nothing happens. I am having a lot of problems with the latest couple of versions of iTunes. I could probably manually delete the apps from my iPhone and iPad, but that's annoying.

It is what I ended up doing - delteing on the iphone 4s and deleting the same things on itunes. Not just annoying but also ridiculous. Synchronization should be made available as a choice in which direction one wants it. I would prefer to have the option to delete all ways therefore deleting just on one device and the rest done automatically. Before the only option was one direction - deleting from Itunes, deleting from Iphone - it wasn't good but at least you could get used to it. This needs solving.

This is a user to user support forum. Apple don't monitor for feedback or to give direct support.

Ideally you would delete any apps you no longer want on the device either directly on it, or by unticking them when you sync. They would stay in your library in case you want to reinstall later. You can discard from the library also, and in most cases you would be able to download again later if you wanted, but apps do get removed from time to time, or updated so that they no longer work with older versions of iOS. Keeping all your content, and a backup uof it, keeps you in control. Either way removing from the device, then later from the library if you wish, is probably the best way to do it.

You may find that setting the option under Edit > Preferences > Devices to Prevent automatic syncing... will mean that you get the warning to transfer or remove back when you do sync. Alternatively try Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Reset warnings.

Same problem. In iTunes 10 i'd delete an app from iTunes directly, then when syncing the app would be removed from my phone as well.

Now when i delete an app from iTunes and go to sync, iTunes just warns me that there are apps on my phone that aren't on my computer and that if i don't transfer them, they will be deleted. I click "don't transfer", but the apps aren't deleted, iTunes just warns me again for the same apps if i sync again and again.

Can i just rollback to iTunes 10??

SAME HERE

It also happens for other content - ie: music or podcasts deleted in iTunes do not delete from iDevices when they are sync'd.

This is beyond annoying - I have 2 ipads and 2 iphones and keeping them manually sync'd is stoneage.

I love apple, but seriously there have been some major glitches recently.

I'm considering reinstalling one of my devices to see if it helps.
