Q: just downloaded the latest i tunes and my ipod isn't showing when connected also no side br

I have just down loaded the latest Itunes update but when i plug in my Ipod Classic it doesn't appear. There doesn't seem to be a side bar either. How do I transfer stuff onto my Ipod now?

I don't have an iPod just an iPhone as soound as I installed iTunes 11 I had icon on the menu bar across the top of the screen on the right labeled iPhone. When I click that icon the iPhone windows opened up so I could work with my iPhone. I would suggest you look at the top bar of the iTunes window for and iPod icon.

 

In the clean up of the GUI for iTunes the side bar was removed.
