Nov 30, 2012 12:03 PM in response to toysculptorby EZ Jim,Testing your external iSight on a different Mac will help you determine if the trouble is in your Mac or in the iSight (possibly its connecting cable/adapter.)
If the external iSight suggestions from Apple's http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2090 do not help you, contact Apple or an Apple-Authorized Service Provider for service.
