As the subject line says anyone know if I can install mountain Lion on this! seems a bit of a waste to just install lion if i can get ML on it

I take It i'm going to need a 2008 macpro!
ML is too advanced for a 2006 as noted. Much of the "cannot run on" is due to OSX taking advantage of features that are introduced by Intel instead of CPU design being driven by OSX. And that pace is just accelerating. Expect that 2008 will be abandoned by OSX more quickly than a refurbished unit from 2010 or 2011 from Apple's refurbished list.
I have an early MacPro aug 2006, anyone know it their is a work around that would let me install Mountain Lion
