how do i fix a long spinning color wheel when going from link to link?

recently I've been getting very long spinning color wheels when going from link to link. I have cleared the history in Firefox, but still happens. Is there somewhere in the MiniMac folders I can go to do something similar?

I contacted Apple and asked for phone help and got a message that it was no longer available? and suggested I take my machine in for repair. It is very hard for me to do that. I am on oxygen 24/7 and the walk from the car to the store did me in last time and I know it would be worse now. I will browse the community to see if this is a common happening, but really would appreciate any help from anyone. thank you!

I was always told that the spinning beach balls were associated with bad memory or not enough memory.... Might want to test yours or add more...

i also looked in other forums and there was a link to a site called the X Lab, with all sorts of information on checking and fixing this type of issue on the Mac. Trouble is after a couple paragraphs my mind refused to digest and absorb the information. I tried to download link here but it won't. I'm not a real computer person 😟 i use it for fun and have to ask for help when I have problems with it. One thing that site said, was not to believe that the Mac is trouble free. Also that it will run self checks about 3 a.m. but not if the machine is off or sleeping, so i guess I will leave it on all night and hope that does something for me 🙂 thanks guys...
