My iTunes does not show up in Control Panel, but it does work. any suggestions

I am trying to install iTunes 11 using Windows 7, 32 bit. I have iTunes 10.6 and cannot upgrade because it fails. I would like to uninstall all apple products and then reinstall the new version 11. iTunes does not show up in control panel therfore i cannot remove it! The 10.6 version works with no problem. i have backed up my iTunes library.
