Version 11 is awful Why did they take away the Power Search and the ability to sort by Title, Artist, Popularity etc?  This is all so typical of Apple as well as Adobe and Microsoft. They know whats best for their customers. (sarcasm) You are right...all this complaing falls on deaf ears and eyes. They have our best interest at heart. (more sarcasm)

Well stated clark12 "Poor Form" indeed

If I understand the iTunes11 approach that is making it confusing to me is a drastic change in the user interface concept that makes the view "device" centric, rather than media centric. Very difficult to pick up on that subtlety when you add and remove devices (plug in a phone or iPod)... terribly inconsistent way to display and manage media.

    nuts to shortsightedness

I have been using cover flow since it was first available and have my songs ordered by Date Added so that I can see all the recently added songs.

Now on iTunes 11, the list view doesn't show the covers anymore.  The albums view doesn't have any sorting option to sort albums by other fields (what an oversight by Apple's design team!!!).  In short, I hate this new iTunes 11.  I tried restoring the old iTunes from Time Machine.  Though it was successful, it required a total restore of my iPad and iPhone since they have already paired with iTunes 11, which is a no-goer.

This is a turning for me with Apple.  I hate their they know best about what customers want arrogant attitude.  In fact they have already lost touch and don't know anymore.

Success (in a way), used the 'previous version) of the .itl file, placed it into the itunes folder inder my documents/music/itunes). Removed itunes 11, installed itunes 10.7 and all seemed ok, except no apps/no music but all my photos!!

Sync to my iphone okay, but loads of apps missing, they were there previous to th itunes 11 'upgrade' but not now. the itl file for itunes 11 was 23k the previous versino only 3k so are the apps inside this itl file?

Now slowly downloading my apps and music all over again - that is unless someone knows how to do this using the itunes 11 library file?

Although I've 'lost' my apps/music - more than happy to see a working itunes 10.7 back on screen.

At least I'm not alone.  I was just beginning to think I was just slow, but this version is cr+p!  I can't get my podcasts updated or find anything I need.  It took 14 steps just to find a sympathetic ear.  I love my iPod Classic, but this is going to make it really difficult to manage.  Searched for some Brubeck I used to have on vinyl and got precious few results; I know the library has to be bigger than that would indicate.  I guess we're stuck with this junk until somebody at Apple reads these reviews and tries to please their customers rather than just trotting out the smoke and mirrors.  Thanks for letting me vent.  maryeileen47

I actually like it.  It has taken a little while to get used to looking in different places for things but I like it.  I never used cover flow.  Never cared for it.

Crossing my fingers but I have not had any issues and it is working much better with my Apple TV3.

I've just copied a bunch of movies from my hard drive into iTunes 11 but they don't show up in the library in either the movies, home movies or TV shows folders and no results are returned when I search for them. However, they do appear in the list on my Apple TV. Is this another glitch or am I missing something? Why has iTunes suddenly become so confusing and frustrating. I hate it!

I am not a fan of the new iTunes at all. It's confusing. It doesn't work the way I think it should work and sometimes it's just annoying.

For example, I was updating apps today and typing in another program. Every time an app updated, it automatically went back to iTunes.

I can't find everything in this one.

I am not looking forward to having to tell my wife that she's on her own. She won't like this version even more than I don't like it.

You're not alone.  I am sorry that and downloaded it.  Should have just stuck with my previous version.  The new one no longer has the "power search" option to research songs/artists.  So, if you want to research how many artists recorded say "Georgia on my mind" your out of luck.  So there is no way to (at least no obvious way) to purchase a Bobby Darin song or anyone else that is not shown on their home page.  A glaring error on the part of Apple; it amounts to no more than change for the sake of change.

so funny.. Apple is removing post where people actually express what they're feeling toward Apple products. Of course acting like a communist. Censorship on information that defame Apple... just look at censorship in China.. Apple is acting the same way.

You have a strange definition of "funny".

This is a technical support forum, not a b****fest site. Plenty of other websites for that.

Of course acting like a communis

    You mean nazi or Hitler.

But it is their website and you agreed to certain rules.

I believe Apple removed posts that show people how to revert back to previous version of Itunes.  Is that not technical support ??
