Today, I can´t find my playlists!!!!!! ***??????
You can restore much of the look & feel of the previous version with these shortcuts:
- Ctrl-B to turn on the menu bar.
- Ctrl-S to turn on the sidebar.
- Ctrl-/ to tunn on the status bar.
- Click the magnifying glass top right and untick Search Entire Library to restore the previous search behaviour.
To roll back to iTunes 10.7 first download a copy of the 32 bit installer or 64 bit installer as appropriate, uninstall iTunes and suppporting software, i.e. Apple Application Support & Apple Mobile Device Support. Reboot. Restore the pre-upgrade version of your library database as per the diagram below, then install iTunes 10.7.
If your playlists have mysteriously vanished you can also use the three steps in the diagram to restore a recent copy of the library file without rolling back the installed version of iTunes.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to scan the media folder and catch up with any changes made since the backup file was created.
To protect against the unexpected in future backup your iTunes library (and other personal data).

i hate it too. I generally try not to use it - on the occasions that i have to it's leaving me extremely frustrated. How can I manually add album artwork.
Apple, what were you thinking? You need to fix this.

How can I manually add album artwork.
Select tracks or album to edit, right-click and choose Get Info or simply press Ctrl-i, drop art into the square box on the Info tab, or for single track edits use the Artwork tab.

wow, just did spome research. Becuase of the recommendations when playing a song in the list view of the ol iTunes I was averaging $55 per month on new music. Since the new iTunes $0.. cant see the song recommnedations in song view mode. too bad Apple - heading over to Amazon to buy music and get it backed up for me automatically and for free. Just wish i would have known this was coming - would havbe dumped my Apple stock.

Gosh I sincerely hope and believe Apple doesn't hate you. I would like to think Apple put some thought behind their iTunes as well as their other hard and software products to present to us. I switched to Apple due to the Apple's company mission statement: "Man is the creator of change in this world. As such he should be above systems and structures, and not subordinate to them." That statement hit home with me and I believe in that statement. Now I have had my bouts too with Apple. If Apple did made a blunder they will research and correct any majority of concerns... (at least they did it with me).
I will support you in expressing your thoughts and displeasures but may I make a small suggestion please ...If there is a problem be sure to express yourself with exact details then offer avenues on ways to correct that concern. I've learned Apple as well as most successful companies like P&G or J&J and others want to hear from us and encourage it too.
Therefore... please, Got a "beef"... for it. Then tell Apple how to correct that concern. It worked for me and surprisingly I got immediate response and company action. Apple, I found. sure went over and beyond in helping me with my "beef" in iCloud. Give it a try and see what happens. That's a successful way to get ones opinions to upper management. So---May I Sincerely...extend my Best to you and hope to see your follow through.

I actually hate this new version but found on another thread a useful way of getting it to look more like the old version. Using CTRL-S and CTRL-B brings back the old menus including 'show duplicates' (from 'Music' > 'View') and SHIFT-CTRL-M will bring up the miniplayer.

Agreed, it's horrid. I really don't know why Apple have to keep changing things that work perfectly fine. Is there some sort of geekdom prerequisite where they have to keep changing things for the sake if it?
This is one of the worst upgrades ( read: downgrade ) I've ever seen from Apple. It's a pile of crap, it looks toss compared to how it used to look and it's awful to use.
The search is horrid, I don't want to search the **** store, I want to search my own library. End of. Maybe you can change this, I dunno I cant be arsed to find it.
