The 5.1.1 update has failed on 2 of my 3 Apple TV 3s.
The 2 that have failed are both the UK model MD199B/A while the one that succeeded was the US model MD199LL/A.
In both failure cases the progress bar on 'Preparing your Updates' was at around 80% when 'The update was not successful.' was displayed
Does anyone have a solution, or more info on this?

After finding other people with the same problem on this forum I followed the suggestion of disconnecting ethernet and using wifi while updating.
I did this and it worked perfectly.
It should work over ethernet though - seems like Apple are slipping.

Yup, same here. It wouldn't update over Ethernet but the Wi-Fi update worked.
