How to sort albums by purchase date in New iTunes??
I don't have iTunes 11 so I can't check but perhaps:
Cmd-J or Song view > View Options (command+j) Make sure the field by which you want to sort is activated. Select the tab at the top of the window to sort by that tab.
Thank you, but it seems like the only options to sort the content are: artist, rating, year, title, genre. No purchase date or date added to the library 😟
Again I don't have iTunes 11 but others have asked about sorting by other fields and gotten them to appear with the views option which then let them sort by that.
I think i figured it out, to sort by purchase date you have to choose "Songs" in the main iTunes window, and only then select how to sort it. The bad thing is that you cant see the album artwork anymore.
That is horrible though.
The best view for me is the Artists tab, but you can't sort your albums by rating, date added or anything!!!!
Song view is terrible... just a list of songs with no artwork and not grouped into albums.
Album view can't be sorted either!!
