I wish I hadn't upgrade it to iTunes 11.  The Search field only searches the Libray and not the individual songs on the iPod Playlist that's highligted. On the previous iTunes you could easily highlight any folder and enter the "A" and it would search and pull Songs/Artists on the list with that letter only from that playlist and NOT from the ENTIRE LIBRARY!  This is a pain so far.

Also, when you do a search and the drop down menu pops up, if leave the cursor on the search field and accidentally press the right click iTunes will immediately crash and reopen.

Is there any way around locating individual songs/artists on the iPod connected??

I hope APPLE fixes the search field soon.  I really love their products!

I don't know what kind of playlist you have but when I click on any playlist, click the hand lens and uncheck "Search Entire Library" then there is transparent text in the field saying "Search Playlist".
