os 10.5.6 for ibook g4

I have a ibook g4 and currently its running on 10.4.11. I was wondering if it would even be possible to upgrade to 10.5 without losing too much hard drive space. This computer is quite an older mac and i have a newer macbook pro but im still willing to upgrade anyway. My processor is a 1.42 GHz PowerPC g4 and my memory is 1.5 GB DDR SDRAM. Its on the smaller side of Processors and Memory but would that be enough to upgrade to 10.5?

Hello,

From the specification you supplied you can install Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard.

The system requirements are:

Processor must be any Intel, PowerPC G5 or G4 (867 MHz and faster)

DVD drive (for installation of the operating system)

At least 512 MB of RAM (additional RAM (1 GB) is recommended for development purposes)

At least 9 GB of disk space available.

Hope this helps
