i have had a nanopod, allowed me to navigate to the next chapter in a book if not automatically done, in the ipodshuffle i do not know how to get to the next chapter

how do i go to the next chapter in a book with ipodshuffle ? i tried clicking the middle button down twice, it did not work, do i need to wait for the click ? i did that but it also did not go to next chapter, i have the off/on set for the middle setting, really liked the nano pod, allowed me to see what was happening, this is kind of challenginng
