Dec 4, 2012 6:48 PM in response to elvenqueen86by pfetsch,Same here. Most of the music I had loaded on the previous iTunes does not appear in iTunes 11. The files are still on my hard drive, but for some reason were deleted from my iTunes Library.
Does anyone know a simple way to bring them all back? I mean besides copying all of the albums again?
Apple?
Anyone?
Thanks!

If anyone else in encountering this same problem, check to reconnect your iTunes with Match. After doing so, everthing seemed in place.
Simple, but not very obvious.

Dec 5, 2012 9:53 PM in response to elvenqueen86by stephen866,Just had to switch to a new hard drive and had to download itunes again, just bought a few songs today and once i hit sync to add them, i lost about 40 or so songs i already had on there and in a play list on my ipod. All the songs i bought were off itunes so it was nothing from a 3rd party group or anything like that, just like once i sync my iphone i lost all the pictures i already had on my phone too.
Apple really messed up on this.
Can't even add movies on my iphone 5
hope we get credited for everything we lost

Dec 8, 2012 7:49 AM in response to elvenqueen86by Arrrrrty,I have something similar. iTunes 11 saved only a random 20% of the tracks on every album. It only saved all songs on albums I imported from a physical cd, and a few other exceptions which I do not understand. In short, I lost a lot of music too. Unbelievable.

Dec 9, 2012 8:34 PM in response to elvenqueen86by Midget 65,I had 13 $1.99 videos and 4 $11.99 that were erased when my computer's hard drive failed. I had my music saved with carbonite, except iTunes wouldn't let me save the videos or movies. I re-install a new hard drive a month later and my videos are gone. I also have a racing video on my iPod that never worked right and doesn't show up on the computer, so I cannot delete it.
Expect a call from me tommorow

Dec 10, 2012 3:28 PM in response to Midget 65by Lil Chubs,I'm on my Mac now, but I do remember having this issue with my PC a while back many, many times. Everytime I would turn around, my iTunes library was full of these things next to every song and it wouldn't play anything, but my files were still there on my external hard drive. Forgive me if this is not what you guys were aksing about..but it saved me hours a lot of times after losing my 500+ gigs of music recognized in iTunes over the years.....
