I have an iPhone 3GS and I am not able to activate it.
I connected it to my computer and attempted an update. Update failed and I had to restore the phone.
After restoring I now have to activate the phone but I do not have a SIM to activate it.
The phone was given to me second hand with no sim.
Please help me.

I put an active sim in my phone.
Phone: Cannot find the carrier service and not able to activate.
Computer: Says that there is no sim and I need to insert one.
