My new iPhone 5 is all in Chinese

go to settings/general/international then the first item is Language. Change tha tto English

general is nine items down when you access the first screen of setting, international is 13 items down after you have entered general and language is the first item on the next screen you see

The above recommendation may be difficult if you can't read Chinese!:

Try this:

Touch settings icon on 1st home page (gray with gears)

7th item down is General - select it

14th item in General section is International - select

1st item is Language > 1st choice is English

Yes settings is the wheel icon then the general thingy has the wheel beside it then international is 13 lines down

You're welcome. Where did you get this iP5 set up in Chinese? All new phones are sold defaulting to the native language of the county it's sold in.

Same problem, phone also purchased in dubai. When I turn on the phone (without SIM card) I am shown language options, when I tap English nothing happens. I can't even get to the screen that shows any icons... Just stuck. Any thoughts?

I have same problem as Amyindubai.

Purchased A1530 in Qatar, but all is on Chinese!

How to get it on English (instructions pls) .

Hi Pz - this is teh site I used to set up my new phone and it's working just fine now. Just follow the photos so you know which button to puch in chinese! Good luck!
