Basic to Dynamic Disk
So I need more space for my bootcamp partition (not for OS just for other files to use in Windows).
I don't really want to pay for Camp tune X, so what I ended up doing was going into OSX (Mountain Lion) > Disk Utility and shrinking my OSX partition.
Then I went to Disk management in Windows and used that unallocated space to make a new simple volume. When I was about to confirm I got a message box saying:
" The operation you selected will convert the selected basic disk(s) to dynamic disk(s). If you convert the disk(s) to dynamic, you will not be able to start installed operating systems from any volume on the disk(s) (except the current boot volume). Are you sure you want to continue?"
Now I don't want to screw myself over and not be able to boot my OSX. Will that happen if I continue, or is it just telling me I can't boot anything off the new volume?
Thanks.
