Where is home sharing on iTunes 11? (Mac)

To turn on Home Sharing, go to File > Home Sharing > Turn on Home Sharing

To see your Home Share, you can either turn on the sidebar by going to View > Show Sidebar or you can click on the popover if you are in the new UI and scroll down to see your Home Share.

The popover is the window that openes when you click on the button where you select media types on the top left corner right below the play controls.

You can also press the <alt> key to see the "File" pull down menu if it is hidden

idk if this helps your problem but to get the itunes 10 sidebar layout that has the homeshare options, go to the black and whit square at the left top corner of itunes, then select show menu bar, next go to view, then select show sidebar, that takes you to the itunes 10 menu thingy that has the shared tab and all that stuff! i just figured that stuff out when i was trying to put all my music on my new computer, hope that helps at least a little!

But where is file? That's what I don't understand. Everyone keeps saying that, but I can't find it. It's not a right-click thing, right? Guess I'm a tech idiot or something...

OK in the top left hand corner of iTunes you will see a little half black half white box, that is "file"

For home sharing open the drop down menu there and go to "Library" it should be the second option down, then from there you can turn on home sharing.
