I have had many experiences where Apple laptops are not compatible with projectors of different brands through the specific adapter. In many conferences is painful to watch looking for a PC to go on!
There are raccomandation on how to cross those improper situation?

Please remember that the original message refers that the proper adapters were in place!
Probably the problem is not in the effectiveness of them!
I had this problem recently, I used a hdmi adaptor and my macbook air would not work yet it worked fine with someone elses macbook. Why is that?
Tough to say, possibly a substandard adapter.
