Does iTunes 11 cure the problem with Airplay silence and Wi-Fi backups?

Whilst streaming to an ATV2, often the sound simply disappears, but continues from the Mac itself, rather than playing from both simultaneously.

Also, overnight Wi-Fi sync has been unreliable for some time now since 10.6 or so. Both on my iP4 running 5.1.1 and my iP5 running 6.0.1

Any indications these two issues have been resolved in the latest version please?

Haven't had issues with my ATV2, but when first upgraded to iTunes 11, it reported that my iPhone "could not be found"...
