iTunes 11 doesn’t show my newly added songs in the Library

I was unable to add see my newly added songs (not purchased through iTunes store) in the Library Song List, but was able to see them in the "Newly Added" smart playlist. Does anyone has this problem?

OS: 10.6.8

iTunes: 11.0

Same issue here. Imported a CD, but the songs aren't listed. Tried individually adding the songs—same result. It acts as if they're importing fine...in fact, they're in my iTunes Library folder structure in my Home Folder, but the songs aren't listed in iTunes. You can search for them, and iTunes will say it's found them, but if you try to go to the found item by pressing return...nothing. I have my songs ordered by "Date Added", with newest at the top, but they're not there.

Personally, I'm not impressed with iTunes 11. I didn't have any complaints with iTunes 10 and think they "updated" it just for changes sake. I think it's a step backward. For instance, the min-player used to show you how much time was left in the song playing. Not any more. Nor can you srub to a certain point in the song using the mini-player.

Yes, the search result does show the songs but was unable to list the newly added songs when clicked. The search result does list songs that was added before iTunes 11. Because my newly added songs cannot be seen at the top when sorted by "Date Added", I get very ****** when I wanted to delete a "Recently Added" songs but cannot do so because the newly added songs can only be seen in "Recently Added" smart playlist, which of course doesn't allow me to delete since the new songs are listed into the playlist SMARTLY...

Totally agree with the fact that we can't scrub through the song in mini-player. Since we can resize the mini player, and the mini player can dynamically show the album artwork when extend wider, why don't Apple display the progress bar (playback time bar; whatever you call it) if we resize it taller?

This is a major issue that is affecting multiple users. A temporary resolution is as follows; navigate to your music folder and delete your database file (not your folder of music), reopen iTunes and let it scan for media on your system. This will reindex your music folder and show your newly added files in your iTunes library.

Now what would be amazing is if Apple would push a fix immediately and include a refresh music folder option that will reindex your files and check for changes. Unlike most users, I will edit files in the folder structure on occasion which iTunes does not recognize unless you physically touch that file in iTunes... Too much of a headache for such a simple tool.

I hope this help!

Recently bought my Macbook Pro a few days ago and love it. Came with the new iTunes 11.

Today I got my music from my old computer onto a folder on my Mac. When going to File > Add to Library and added all my music from that folder, it went through the process of adding all my music. The problem is, like most of you, I can't see the added music in my library. I can only see it when I search for it, and it doesn't even play. When I click on the music I searched for, it can't go to the specific songs I choose that I just added. So it's a bug? Hope it gets fixed.
