Yes. Make Genuis reservation or contact Apple Service, get iPhone to Apple and this will be covered by Warranty.

Is this a manufacturing defect?
Either manufacturing defect or the front screen is not pushed down in place perfectly. I would let Apple handle it. If this screen breaks for any reason, whether your fault or not, the broken (cracked, shattered) glass will violate the Warranty. Don't break it.
