Q: why do disk permissions keep getting corrupted?

The disk permissions on my Macbook Pro keep getting corrupted and I have to run the Disk Utility Program to repair them. What is likely causing this issue?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

If you see permissions appear to be repaired again, it could be among those that can safely be ignored:
