How to add photos to Fotostream from a library on an external HD

For capacity reasons I have moved my Aperture library on to an external hard drive. Since then I cannot get photos of new projects shown in Fotostream nor on Aple TV. Is it possible to also consider such libraries to be included in Fotostream?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

Hi, thanks for replying!

The external HD is directly connected, it's a WD drive.

I did not change my preview preferences.

What is strange - images that I took with a connected iPad or iPhone are shown in a new Fotostream file, but images that I imported from my digital camera and sorted in individual projects are not shown. These are stored externally and are stored in the library on the WD drive.

I do not know how to address this - would you a have clue?

Thank you!

I did not change my preview preferences.

Make sure, in your "Preferences > Previews" the option "Share previews with iLife and iWork" is still enabled, and "new Projects automatically generate previews" is enabled.

Have you enabled the Photostream on your iDevices? Then the images will show in the Photo Stream, because the devics upload to the PhotoStream.

How are the PhotoStream Preferences in Aperture set? Is "Automatic Upload" still enabled? If not, turn it on.
