I have Quicktime Player 10.2. Operating an iMac on OSX 10.8.2.  I want to install Quicktime Pro in order to transfer some movies to be able to put them in my iTunes library (I can't get them in any other way it seems).

Apple Support seems to indicate there should be a registration tab within Quicktime Player to input my Quicktime Pro license registration ion number (which I have purchased already) and then the Quicktime Pro features will be available to me.

For the life of me I can't find it.

The QT X (v10.2) Player cannot be upgraded for "Pro" use—only the QT 7 player can. If you have already purchased a QT 7 "Pro" key, then follow the instructions found HERE to install the QT 7 Player app and key it for "Pro" use. Both QT X and QT 7 can be simultaneously installed and used with some files being being better supported by one player while others are better supported by the other player.
