Internal Speaker sound quality dropped all of a sudden...
Reseting pram doesn't fix it... What can I do to have my mbp sound back to what it was?

Thanks for the quick response but that didn't fix it...
The stupidest thing about all of this is that it is the second time that my internal speakers produce really bad sound and the in the first time this happened everything just came back to normal all of a sudden
Was the audio source from iTunes, or other internal source or was it and external source?

Maybe you should go to the Apple Store so they can check out the problem because there may be something wrong with the hardware since this is the second time this has happened.

I was using itunes 11 when it started happening, but the problem precists throughout the system.
I am not taking my mac to apple store because my waarenty is over.. I'm trying to fix this myself 🙂
If this is an intermittent phenomenon and ear phones work correctly, the it suggest a loose connection. If the distortion is also apparent, then there is some problem with the amplification circuitry.
Grasping at straws, perform a SMC and PRAM resets. This will do no harm but I am not certain that if it will resolve the issue.

SMC and PRAM reset did nothing.
I'm gonna open up my mac and check the speakers connections.
I just opened up my mac and reconnected the speakers, the sound problem precists...
I thought about it and I dont think the problem is on the speakers because both of them started to have bad sound a the same time, and it is very unlikelly that both speakers break down ate the same time I guess...
it is probably the soundcard/amplifier for the spaekers. it could also be a logic board issue. it may be a OS issue. it could even be a itunes issue. so try and re-install your os and see if it helps, otherwise, it is a hardware issue, and you will need to fork over some hard-earned $$$ to fix it.
Have you tried using earphones when the speakers become distorted?

Yes in the earphones the sound is ok, if i connect the earphones and change the output to the speakers the sound comes out with distortion..
I would reinstall my os, but right now I dont feel like it... I did it a couple of months and its a pain having to install everything again.. Maybe I will install another image of osx on my second hard drive but I need some time to do it..
