Can't print cd jewel case insert

Just updated to Itunes 11. Now can't print cd jewel case insert without overlay of black symbols over list of songs. I use this function alot. What should I do? Considering trying to return to previous version.

You spent 4 hours with them yesterday? That is horrible. They, if they know anything about programming, should have been able to identify it is a problem with iTunes 11 in about 10 minutes. And they shouldn't bounce anyone from iTunes to Apple. As customers, we should be dealing only with iTunes support. They are the ones that have gladly taken all of our money in the past. They should pay you for the time you spent. Ridiculous.

😠 😠 😠 I just had to put my two cents in regarding "Apple Support". I did send my printing CD jewel case issues to support and they responded fairly quickly. But then they told me they were only for technical issues and gave me all the links that pretty much led me back to this discussion board. To add insult to injury I received another email from 'SUPPORT"?? asking me if my problem had been fixed. Of course I replied is a big fat NO NO NO that it had not been fixed. The email also said "We are here to fix all your Apple problems and really care about our customers satisfaction". As you might guess I have not heard anything back from them. I suggested why not look at this discussion board to see the itunes issues are world wide and in many different areas.

As far as printing songs, I have been able to play with the print to print song list. It is much smaller and you have no choice on what prints on the page. You can move columns all over you want on the playlist, but you will still get Song, Time, Album, Artist. I print many mixes of my own and do not need name of album just Title & Artist.

I hope that Apple will give us a Christmas present and revert back to iTunes previous release until they can fix all the problems. Or at least give instructions on how to use this new "Release". Enough said, Just needed to vent. Like it would do any good. Scott - Omaha,NE

After removing iTunes version 11.0.0.163, and reinstalling version 10.7.0.21, I found that when I tried to run iTunes again I got the message "the file iTunes Library.itl cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes".

I found the answer to this problem on the Microsoft Windows Community forum page(http:/answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum).

"iTunes cannot be launched because the library file was modified to work with the newer iTunes version, so is no longer compatible with the previous version. But Apple does backup the iTunes library file into a subdirectory that you can use to go revert back to the previous version".

There then follows the procedure to use.

If you type the message as I quoted above into your browser, (Google or whatever), the Microsoft entry should show up in the list.

Of course you need to be running Windows for this to be of any use to you, also it won't work if the Library file has been altered in any way.

It worked for me, hope that this might be of some help to you.

I've been experiencing this very same problem since installation of iTunes 11. Some neighbors have both a Mac and a PC (running Windows 8), connected to the same printer. On the Mac, the print of the CD insert works flawlessly...on the PC, the print is crowding and overlaying onto itself, as is happening to all of us. Hoping they resolve this with the next update. In the meantime, I've been creating CD inserts using Memorex Expressit Label Design Studio..freeware readily available on the internet. It offers a LOT more design options than iTunes, and is therefore much more complicated to use. You can import playlists from iTunes, which eliminates a lot of busywork, and there's a learning curve for selecting the various backgrounds, fonts, and designs. But, it does the job until Apple gets on the ball and fixes this situation.

Hi from Co Leitrim, Ireland. Same story. Involuntary update and now my my jewel cd inserts, specifically the track listing is all jumbled up, telescoped in on itself. I have two different computers, running Windows 7 with two different itunes accounts, the same problem on both. What a shame, the previous itunes version was working so well. Apple seems just to big and full of itself to listen. Good to see I am not the only one with this problem.

OK, workaround and prints in grayscale but by using one of the imbedded XP printers (Microsoft Office Document Image Writer or Microsoft XPS Document Writer) I can get the jewel case saved as a tiff file and then print it. Reasonable quality but still a work around. Just an opinion but with the release of iTunes 11 I am reminded of the old fortran programmer's bumper sticker slogan, one person's features are another person's bugs.
