13" MacBook Air Overheating?

Is it normal for my MacBook Air to overheat and then freeze, especially often while watching Netflix? I also sometimes get just a black screen for a few seconds and then everything goes back to normal. I have only had it for about 2 months and I am on OS X 10.8.2 / 1.8GHz / i5. Thanks in advance.
