I made the HUGE!! Mistake of upgrading to 11.0 and now I can't see my ipod & music library at the same time. I have been avoiding this upgrade for a while. anyone know HOW TO GET NEW SONGS TO MY IPOD!
I agree! It ***** with a capital suck!
I think the first post says it all... just encountered the same ridiculous problem... That's no upgrade, it's an antiquated version. If someone knows how to get back to previous version, please share... thanks.
iTunes11.0 is BAD BAD BAD. Cannot even view content in the columns mode because Show Column Browser is greyed out. THIS IS NOT AN IMPROVEMENT. GO LOOK AT STEVE JOBS GRAVE, URN WHATEVER - MUST BE REVOLVING LIKE A MUSCLE CAR!!!!!!!!!! Cannot view Download Progress. STINKS!!!
Do you use Time Machine? If so, just restore from a backup that has iTunes 10 on it.
That backup has Lion OS - I installed Mountain Lion since then - will that restore work?
I'm with you 100%... I want my old iTunes back!
The interface is horrible!
I called Apple and they said that I could restore the old version, but then what! Never install an update again!
Come on Apple, give us back cover flow and the opion to use the Classic Interface or something!
It's possible, but it's not reccomended. You have to completely wipe the HD before reinstalling Lion, and you run the risk of messing up firmware when doing so.
Absolutely right, iTunes 11 is a pile of sh....!
I managed to reinstall 10.7 by uninstalling iTunes and reinstalling 10.7 but not without problems. First with the help of Apple Support and a link to download it I got version 11 back on. Than I did it again using the download of 10.7 from the Apple site, and it worked. BUT, iTune wouldn't run but tell me that iTunes Library.itl was in a newer version than my iTunes 10.7. I remowed the file and started iTunes. The program than "reloaded" my library. Now I've got back my old, fine iTunes. Only my self created playlists and my ranking are gone. And I have to reboot my iPhone to get iTunes to recognise it again.
Hi everyone!
I'm disgusted about iTunes 11 as well. I want my former version back. How can that be done? I don't have any music on iTunes, only audiobooks and the playlists have turned into a state of shamble with the update. All my covers have vanished and the discs are not shown anymore, instead of that there's a list of the single tracks. This I absolutely don't want because it is inoperable! I'm really angry as the information on the update didn't say anything about the change to the worse. I would really be grateful if someone could tell me how to restore the former version.
Hello!
My playlists are the most important thing for me. Isn't there any way of restoring the former version of iTunes without loosing the playlists?
Wish I hadn't upgraded to iTunes 11. Looks like crap. DON'T DO ITUNES UPGRADE! No more cover flow, etc. I agree with negative posts about this new version. Wish I had the old one back. This one is NOT INTUITIVE at all!!!
Apple, GIVE US BACK OUR 10.7 iTunes!!!!
I wish Apple would ask if you want to upgrade like Micro Soft. I lost all my notes from outlook and have no way to get them back on my phone............. Also it dupplicated every calender appointment onmy computer calender, now I have no notes from my computer so I will have to carry my Laptop along with my Iphone as I rely on them for 80% of my info.
Apple bring back the features and settings of Itunes 10.??? and get rid of 11.0. I never should have bought an Apple computer or phone......thats all I can say at this point
Jim
Anyone know where to find the jewel-case option in this new update iTunes?
I am now in a jam and need to do something before morning.
@migali mistral - Yes, just make sure to export your playlists before doing anything, then if something happens you can re-import them
