Iphone 5 (Home button wiggles/loose)?

I already know this sounds OCD, but I've had my iphone 5 since October. I bought it new from Verizon. Anyways, what I've started to notice is that the home button tends to be "somewhat" loose. I can move it side to side. The button works fine and it's not like it's falling off. I just get nervous now thinking there is something wrong or it's defective. But I've heard others have noticed this as well with the 4s. Does anyone think I should really worry about this or is it considered "normal?" I have been using it for a few months now, so maybe it's just from constantly pressing the home button itself. Thank you for any helpful answers.

The iPhone Home button that you touch, floats in space in the glass cut-out circle of the front screen and the holding aparatus below it. Since it is a moving part there has to be some degree of free play or looseness. But how much is subjective. Since it bothers you, I think there is too much free play. Here is what I would do, make Genius reservation, go to Apple Store a few minutes before your appointment, test some of the iPhone 5 display models. See if your iPhone 5 Home button is different. If yes, then when you see the Genius show them the problem and it will be handled right there under Warranty.

Hi brad805,

I took my iphone 5 into the Apple store with a loose and annoying home button which started happening 5 days after getting the phone and basically they said there is nothing they can do as this is standards with apple iphone 5. I also spoke with the store manger and he confirmed the iphone have a loose home button.I am a first time apple user so very dissapointed. Is there anything else I can do?
