I'm assuming that you are familiar with the old iTunes platform but in case you are not (or someone else is not) I'm giving detailed instructions.

You need to create a playlist first. Go to the tiny square in the top left hand corner and select the drop down menu.

Select "New" > "New Playlist"

Give your playlist a name

Then select the music you want to burn by searching for the album, artist genre etc. There is a search bar (w/magnifying glass icon) in the top right corner.

Once the song appears right-click and select "Add to Playlist" > (playlist name)

If you want to add multiple songs, or a whole album select the first song, press and hold the shift key while pressing the arrow down key to highlight all of the songs

Note: If you aren't in full screen view arrow down may not select all songs in which case you will then arrow right. So press and hold "Shift" arrow down, then arrow right.

Right click the highlighted songs and select "Add to Playlist" > (playlist name)

At the top of your iTunes screen (beneath the rectangle) there is a menu going horizontally. It should say : Songs, Albums, Artists, Genres, Playlist, Radio, Match.

Select "Playlist".

There will be a list of your playlist on the left hand side. Select the playlist that you sent your songs(and/or album) to.

Insert a blank disk into your drive.

Select the tiny square drop down menu at the top left hand corner. Select "Show Menu Bar". You should now see a horizontal menu (top left) of your screen saying:

File, Edit, View, Controls, Store, Help

Select "File" > "Burn Playlist to Disc"

A pop up window will appear giving you the option to change the burn settings. It is best to leave said settings alone unless you MUST change them for whatever reason.

Select "Burn"

The notification bar (long rectangle top center of iTunes window) will tell you that your CD had finished burning, Just eject and you're done!

Hope this helps 🙂

Thank you Le Femme_Sucre for your detailed directions for burning a CD. I burned a CD of a Playlist but the Track Names, Album Name, Artwork, etc. did not transfer to the new CD. I had manually entered all this info in iTunes before I created the playlist so assumed the new CD would have all this info but it didn't show when I imported the new CD into iTunes on my windows laptop. Thanks again for your excellent assistance.

OK, So I have a short of simmilar problem, but I believe much harder to solve: I get this window when I try to burn a play list:

User uploaded file

As you can see there is message in the to saying "no supported Disc burner found" And as you try to burn it gices you the same error message.

I have an updated version of iTunes 11.2.2 (3)

Where is my burning software?

Cheers!
