Virus on Mac, Virus on Mac

I was shopping at a website called wayfair, i have gone here many many times, when all of the sudden i was rerouted. to a site saying my computer is infected. it is obviously directed towards windows because i saw it says microsoft. but I am nervous as i heard recently there have been virus/trojan attacks directed towards Mac computers, so i wanted to report it here. Should i be concerned that my computer could be infected somehow?

It appears to me that error message was not written by someone who is a native speaker of American English.

Legitimate error messages from Microsoft products had to be approved in Redmond, Washington, USA. They may be obtuse at times, but they should still sound like American English.

I think that one may have been written by a Nigerian Prince, who needs your help wiring some money out of his country. I am certain he will email you shortly, if he has not done so already. If you could just give send your Bank Account number ... 😉
