I was shopping at a website called wayfair, i have gone here many many times, when all of the sudden i was rerouted. to a site saying my computer is infected. it is obviously directed towards windows because i saw it says microsoft. but I am nervous as i heard recently there have been virus/trojan attacks directed towards Mac computers, so i wanted to report it here. Should i be concerned that my computer could be infected somehow?

This bogus. Did you notice it says Microsoft Antivirus? I'm sure you do not have the program running. Ignore, this is just phishing. It's a spurious pop-up.
i noticed, but i have years of using windows and having viruses and trojans ruin my computers. so i get panicky at the thought of getting a virus.
It appears to me that error message was not written by someone who is a native speaker of American English.
Legitimate error messages from Microsoft products had to be approved in Redmond, Washington, USA. They may be obtuse at times, but they should still sound like American English.
I think that one may have been written by a Nigerian Prince, who needs your help wiring some money out of his country. I am certain he will email you shortly, if he has not done so already. If you could just give send your Bank Account number ... đ

You might want to contact wayfair as one explanation of your redirect is that their web page has been infected.
