Can I watch a rented movie on my Apple TV in one room and watch it later on Apple TV in another room?

Yes, once you rent a movie it is connected to your account for 30 days. The minute you hit play it starts a 24 hour clock that makes it so any device with the same Apple ID can watch the movie as many times in that 24 hour time frame as they want.

You're responding to a four year old post. I'd say it's a pretty safe bet that the original poster has moved on.
Yes. As long as they are both signed in to the same Apple ID but you do have to proceed watching the movie pretty quickly otherwise it will sign out and you'll have to buy/rent it all over again
